Description
This remarkable book deals with the nature and operation of what is commonly called the “Spiritual World”. The general concept of Life after Death here presented has been drawn from the writings of the eighteenth-century scientist and philosopher, Emanuel Swedenborg, whose eyes were opened into the Spiritual World and who reported what he saw and heard.
The Aqueduct Interviews thought up by Brian Kingslake present Swedenborg’s teachings in an attractive and fascinating manner, geared to the twentieth-century reader. It is not over burdened with Swedenborgian technicalities, rather, it is exciting and imaginative in style, including some whimsical humour and even a touch of romance.
The author has admittedly taken some liberties in his descriptions and characterizations. But, to quote his own words, “This book contains a real and true account of the kind of thing everyone will experience sooner or later when he or she passes thought the gateway of death. I hope these disclosures will be reassuring, and that the contemplation of them will prove spiritually uplifting to the reader – as they have been to me in writing them.”
