In this book, the author explains, in conversational English, all the most fundamental concepts having to do with the life and key teachings of the Lord, Jesus Christ, as expounded in the books written by Emanuel Swedenborg. Although written originally as sermons for New Church, or Swedenborgian, congregations, the 36 sermons are accessible to any reader, and are intended to inspire in the reader an appreciation for the tremendous, life-saving work that the Lord undertook through His life in the world. How was He conceived? How did He learn? How was He tempted, and how (and what) did He overcome in His temptations?

What is the real meaning of Palm Sunday and the crucifixion? And what can we learn about the Lord’s second coming from His first? These are just some of the many questions answered in the book, which has been highly recommended by other ministers and teachers.
