Jesse Brown has questions. She wants to learn about horses, how to gain the trust of her new foal. SHe iscurious about babies growing inside their mothers. She wonders how they are made and what they will be like after they are born.
The older Jesse gets, the bigger her questions seem.
“How will my body change?”
“Why can’t I play Scrippy-Scrap anymore?”
“When can I have pierced ears and my first dance party?”
Later, Jesse writes in her diary about entering high school, Tawna’s first horse show, and almost losing sight of what really matters.
