​The life of service gave life and took its toll. Helga’s honest, well-written self-portrait was brought into being by her daughter Heather’s urging and encouragement. It is a testament to their shared courage. Heather’s spirit and songs triumphed over her pain and death in her unsuccessful battle with cancer. Helga’s deep faith and trust in the leading of the Lord gave her strength to use her grief to shed light on her own person journey within the General Church for our benefit.
